We took our cars here for regular maintenance for years before I moved out of state. The employees are friendly and funny and recognize us by face and name, like a local shop should. They always gave us their honest opinion, even if that meant suggesting something that did not benefit them. That’s what you want in a business. Honesty. Integrity. They did great work and on the one occasion that we had an issue, they addresses it. 1000% recommend.

The office staff are very nice and pleasant beyond most other shops. They were able to keep my car over a period of days while I was traveling and they gave me the estimate for the repair on the day expected. They send a link to an app that shows the summary and a picture. I called my other shop mechanic and asked about the number of hours needed for the repair. I took a screen shot of the info sent on the link and was told that the price of the part was too high and the hours seemed too high for the job. So I called the office and was informed that they get their hours from the clearinghouse service that provides guidelines for repair shops. He sent me the screen shot with the hours noted from their app they use. They charge about 160 or so (forgot the exact amount) per hour. When I was sent the screen shot of the number of hours, there was a price of just over 300.00 for the part on the top of the screen. I was quoted 600 on the phone for the part. That's a significant mark up for overhead and other such expenses. I am paying the hourly rate of repair for that? So I called back and asked if I can have my overall cost reduced and suggested 200 because I felt the markup was high. I received the discount and even though I was marked up more than most smaller shops, having the service of a clean office and top communications is worth something. So I will go to them again bur for lighter repairs or tires. Oh and lastly, when I showed up to pick it up, the car was under the shade port out in front. It was UNLOCKED. I showed that to the office staff and was told that the guy was tesing my heater frequently to see if the heater worked. OK but lock the door when that is done because anyone walking by can riffle through my stuff in my car.

We brought our car in to have the tires balanced. The road force balancing machine is awesome!!! Found out the new tires we bought are faulty. The reason for the 3 stars is because they did an inspection on the car that we didn’t know about. It’s a good way to get more business and help out customers. When we got our car back, the glove box was on the floor and cabin air filter sitting next to it!!!!! I put it back together so we could get going. We had a good experience, they are just missing the QC check at the end.

Needed some repairs on my Tacoma. Dropped my truck off at 9am and they had tires, brakes, filters, new belt, and full inspection done by the early afternoon. Matt kept me in the loop of future repairs and pricing quotes throughout the day. I highly recommend Reno Vulc to anyone who needs vehicle repairs. Quality of service is unmatched! This was my first time using Reno Vulc and it certainly won’t be the last!

One star for getting the job done. I had my cabin air filter replaced today on my 2011 Toyota Prius. The filter itself was $20.01. The Labor Charge to remove and replace it was $50.00 for a task that takes a maximum time of 5 minutes! Plus a charge for “Job Supplies “ of $7.01 for what??!? I have been a customer of this business for 25+ years and have purchased many sets of tires and used them for other services also but that was my last transaction and will not return. The business has changed since they started taking pictures of the inspections they do. I don’t need to see that - waste of time. That’s my opinion . I trusted the guys that advised me over the years. Just not the same business that it once was and I grew to like. I should have bailed when Clint departed from there. Oh well, Les Schwab here I come. Josh, good luck as you continue the new business plan.
